According to a flight instructor, Rick Garza, Almihdhar drew the
airplane wings backward in class.
Garza…described the two as "Dumb and Dumber"… . The two terrorists
[were] poor pilots… And to make up for their deficient flying skills, Al
Qaeda was able to provide reinforcements. In San Diego
the two were joined by Hani Hanjour… [But, he], too, was a poor flight
student… … This summer a second wave of hijackers slipped into the United States.
… "Nobody ever saw them at mosques," said the city's mayor, Marty
Barnes. "But they liked the go-go clubs." … Zacarias Moussaoui…was
turned in to the Feds by a suspicious flight instructor in Minnesota
last August. Had the FBI moved a little faster on Moussaoui, it's
possible the Sept. 11 attack might have been averted. FBI officials are
still sorting out why a request from the FBI's field office
for permission to examine Moussaoui's computer hard drive--just two
weeks before the attack--was turned down by headquarters, as reported by
NEWSWEEK last week. The FBI knew from French intelligence that
Moussaoui was an Islamic extremist… …[When] teachers at his school told
Moussaoui that he would be better off going to trade school, …[he]
started smoking hash and watching porn movies. …

investigators are telling business owners that Nawaq Alhamzi, age
unknown, Ziad Jarrahi, 26, and Hani Hanjour, 29, stayed in Las Vegas off
and on between May and August. They say the group … made at least six
trips here. … [In Vegas] they could gamble and indulge in the same
forbidden frolics some of them reportedly found at the Pink Pony strip
joint in Florida over the summer. … FBI agents aren't talking about what
they're finding…"True Muslims don't drink, don't gamble, don't go to
strip clubs," said Dr. Osama Haikal, president of the board of directors
of the Islamic Foundation of Nevada. "These things are a sin, just like
what they did in New York and Washington
is a sin." If the hijackers copped a lap dance or even a watery scotch
in most strict Islamic countries, they would be flogged, Haikal said --
and they
would be executed for the horror they wrought. Dying doesn't mean they
won't be held accountable. "Wherever they are now, I'm sure they are

partying with a high-priced hooker in Hub hotel rooms. A driver for a
pair of local escort services told the Herald yesterday that he drove a
call girl to the Park Inn in Chestnut Hill on Sept. 9 around 10:30 p.m.
where she bedded down with one of the [accused] mass murderers. It was
her second trip to [his] room that day. …Waleed M. Alshehri and Wail
Alshehri - spent Sept. 9 in the Route 9 hotel, sources said. "She went
there earlier in the day and then again later in the night," the driver
said of the escort. "She saw just one guy when I drove her over there."
The escort, a white blond woman in he early 20s, had a 20 minute tryst
in the hotel room with one of the hijackers. She was paid $
180 in cash, the driver said. … In the days before the attack, the
driver brought the same woman to the Days Hotel on Soldiers Field Road in Brighton
where some of the hijackers are known to have stayed. The woman, who
worked for Broadway International and Day and Night Encounters escort
services, told the driver she partied with one of the hijackers at the
hotel. … The driver, who was unsure of the names of the [men] seen by
the woman, said he also routinely brought women to a male relative of
alleged terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden. "I drove some of the girls
to him," the driver said, adding that the relative often had friends
with him. "They were using them right up until the day (the attacks)
happened. He used to see the girls once a week. Now, since the bombings,
no calls." Bin Laden has several relatives
in the Boston area, many of whom returned to Saudi Arabia
in the days after the Sept. 11 attacks. … The dirty Hub dalliances of
the [alleged] terrorists is just the latest link between the [accused]
Koran-toting killers and America's seedy sex scene. In Florida,
several of the hijackers - including reputed ringleader Mohamed Atta -
spent $ 200 to $ 300 each on lap dances in the Pink Pony strip club. The
group ran up drink tabs… And in Las Vegas,
at least six of the hijackers spent time living it up on the Strip on
various occasions between May and August. Marwan Al-Shehhi …

he had a reputation as a lousy tipper, the San Francisco Chronicle
reported. FBI agents have also reportedly questioned the owners of
Nardone's Go-Go Bar in Elizabeth, N.J. Several of the [supposed] terrorists spent time in nearby Paterson and Newark and reportedly patronized the club.

called ?Bill Moyers Journal,? and he got off to a good start on April
25 with a 90-minute exploration called ?Buying the War.? He
interviewed, among others, Dan Rather, Tim Russert and Bob Simon. The
focal point was the way the Bush administration tried ? and largely
succeeded ? to suggest that Iraq,
as well as
al-Qaida, was responsible for the 9/11 atrocity. Simon, who was based
in the Middle East for CBS, said he questioned that connection: ?I mean we knew things or suspected things that perhaps the Washington press corps could not suspect. For example, the absurdity of putting up a connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda. ? Saddam was a total control freak. To

US agents told to back off bin Ladens
The BBC says that America's special agents backed away from the bin Laden family soon after George W Bush became president.
Agents were also told to back off the Saudi royals - although that has all changed since September 11.
The findings come from documents obtained from the FBI investigation of the US terror attacks by the Newsnight programme.
The
papers show that despite the myth that Osama is the black sheep of the
family, at least two other American-based members of it are suspected of
links with a possible terrorist
organisation.
Newsnight says it has uncovered a long history of shadowy connections between the State Department, the CIA and the Saudis.
The former head of the American visa bureau in Jeddah from 1987 to 1989, Michael Springman, told the programme: "In Saudi Arabia I was repeatedly ordered by high-level State Department officials to issue visas to unqualified applicants.
"People who had no ties either to Saudi Arabia or to their own country. I complained there. I complained here in Washington to Main State, to the Inspector General and to Diplomatic Security and I was ignored."
He added: "What I was doing was giving visas to terrorists - recruited by the
CIA
and Osama bin Laden to come back to the United States for training to
be used in the war in Afghanistan against the then Soviets."
The
US allegedly wanted to keep the pro-American Saudi royal family in
control of the world's biggest oil spigot, even at the price of turning a
blind eye to any terrorist connection - so long as America was safe.
The
programme said the younger George Bush made his first million with an
oil company partly funded by the chief US representative of Salem bin
Laden, Osama's brother, who took over as head of the family after his
father Mohammed's death in a plane crash in 1968.

BBC said he made his first million 20 years ago on the back of a company financed by Osama’s elder brother, Salem.
But it added the more disturbing assertion that both presidents Bush
had lucrative stakes along with the bin Ladens in Carlyle Corporation, a
small private company which has gone on to become one of America's
biggest defence contractors. The bin Ladens sold their stake in Carlyle
soon after September 11, it said.”

WASHINGTON - In what the government describes as a bizarre coincidence, one U.S.
intelligence agency was planning an exercise last Sept. 11 in which an
errant aircraft would crash into one of its buildings. But the cause
wasn't terrorism — it was to be a simulated accident.
Officials at the Chantilly,
Virginia-based National
Reconnaissance Office had scheduled an exercise that morning in which a
small corporate jet would crash into one of the four towers at the
agency's headquarters building after experiencing a mechanical failure.
The agency is about 4 miles (6 kilometers) from the runways of Washington Dulles International Airport.
Agency
chiefs came up with the scenario to test employees' ability to respond
to a disaster, said spokesman Art Haubold. No actual plane was to be
involved — to simulate the damage from the crash, some stairwells and
exits were to be closed off, forcing employees to find other ways to
evacuate the building.
"It
was just an incredible coincidence that this happened to involve an
aircraft crashing into our facility," Haubold said. "As soon as the real
world ( news - Y! TV) events began, we canceled the exercise."
Terrorism was to play no role in the exercise, which had been planned for several months, he said.
Adding
to the coincidence, American Airlines Flight 77 — the Boeing 767 that
was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon ( news - web sites) — took
off from Dulles at 8:10 a.m. on Sept. 11, 50 minutes before the exercise was to begin. It struck the Pentagon around 9:40 a.m., killing 64 aboard the plane and 125 on the ground.
The
National Reconnaissance Office operates many of the nation's spy
satellites. It draws its personnel from the military and the CIA ( news - web sites).
After
the Sept. 11 attacks, most of the 3,000 people who work at agency
headquarters were sent home, save for some essential personnel, Haubold
said.
An announcement for an upcoming homeland security conference in Chicago first noted the exercise.
In a promotion for speaker John Fulton, a CIA officer assigned as chief of NRO's strategic gaming division, the announcement says, "On the morning of September 11th 2001,
Mr. Fulton and his team ... were running a pre-planned simulation to
explore the emergency response issues that would be created if a plane
were to strike a building. Little did they know that the scenario would
come true in a dramatic way that day."
The conference is being run by the National Law Enforcement and Security Institute.

speculators have failed to collect $ 2.5m (pounds 1.7m) in profits made
from the fall in the share price of United Airlines after the 11
September World Trade Centre attacks. The fact that the money is
unclaimed more than a month later has re- awakened investigators'
interest in a story dismissed as coincidence. … The authorities are
examining the possibility that if they knew what was coming, traders
were intent on taking their profits immediately, before regulators had
woken up to any possible scam. But investors failed to
foresee that the first response of the US
stock markets to the disaster was to suspend all trading for four days,
thereby denying them the chance of cashing in their profits. Further
details of the futures trades that netted such huge gains in the wake of
the hijackings have been disclosed. To the embarrassment of
investigators, it has also emerged that the firm used to buy many of the
"put" options - where a trader, in effect, bets on a share price fall -
on United Airlines stock was headed until 1998 by "Buzzy" Krongard, now
executive director of the CIA. Until 1997, Mr Krongard was chairman of Alex Brown Inc, America's oldest investment banking firm. Alex Brown was acquired by Bankers Trust, which in turn was bought by Deutsche Bank.
His last post before resigning to take his senior role in the CIA
was to head Bankers Trust - Alex Brown's private client business,
dealing with the accounts and investments of wealthy customers around

Suspicious profits sit uncollected: Airline investors seem to be lying low
Investors
have yet to collect more than $2.5 million in profits they made trading
options in the stock of United Airlines before the Sept. 11 terrorist
attacks, according to a source familiar with the trades and market data.
The uncollected money raises suspicions that the investors -- whose
identities and nationalities have not been made public -- had advance
knowledge of the strikes. "Usually, if someone has a windfall like that,
you take the money and run," said the source, who spoke on condition of
anonymity. "Whoever did this thought the exchange would not be closed
for four days. "This smells real bad." … Securities regulators and
law-enforcement agents throughout the United States and Europe
are investigating unusual patterns in short sales and the purchase of
"put" options, both of which are financial-market bets that the price of
a given stock will fall. Authorities here and abroad have not publicly
disclosed any conclusions they have reached and refuse to discuss the
case. There was an unusually large jump in purchases of put options on
the stocks of UAL Corp. and AMR Corp. in the three business days before the attack on major options exchanges in the United States. On one day, UAL
put option purchases were 25 times greater than the year-to-date
average. In the month before the attacks, short sales jumped by 40
percent for UAL
and 20 percent for American. A put option gives the buyer a right to
sell the underlying security at a certain price on a certain date; the
purchaser profits when the share price drops lower than the agreed sale
price. In a short sale, an investor borrows stock from a broker and
sells it, hoping to buy it back at a lower price. … The money was made
on Sept. 6, 7 and 10 in transactions involving United, American, Morgan
Stanley Dean Witter & Co. and Merrill Lynch & Co., the center
said. Morgan Stanley occupied 22 floors of the World Trade Center;
Merrill Lynch's headquarters offices were nearby. The figure excluded
other unusual trades involving insurance companies with significant

Philippines (CNN) -- The FBI was warned six years ago of a terrorist
plot to hijack commercial planes and slam them into the Pentagon, the CIA
headquarters and other buildings, Philippine investigators told CNN.
Philippine authorities learned of the plot after a small fire in a Manila apartment, which
turned out to be the hideout of Ramzi Yousef, who was later convicted for his role in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
Yousef escaped at the time, but agents caught his right-hand man, Abdul
Hakim Murad, who told them a chilling tale. "Murad narrated to us about
a plan by the Ramzi cell in the continental U.S. to hijack a commercial plane and ram it into the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia,
and also the
Pentagon," said Rodolfo Mendoza, a Philippine intelligence
investigator. Philippine investigators also found evidence targeting
commercial towers in San Francisco, Chicago and New York City.
They said they passed that information on to the FBI in 1995, but it's
not clear what was done with it. One week ago, two hijacked commercial
jets slammed into the World Trade Center, collapsing the towers. Another jet hit the Pentagon and a fourth crashed in rural Pennsylvania.
Authorities believe that fourth jet may have been headed for the
Capitol or the White House. Thousands were killed in the attacks. On
Monday, FBI Director Robert Mueller insisted the agency had "no warning
signs" of last week's attacks. Yousef and Murad both have ties to Osama
bin Laden, the man President Bush has labeled the "prime suspect" in

In a bungle that stunned America,
instructors got the green light from the Immigration and Naturalisation
Service to teach Mohamed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi to fly.
Florida-based Huffman Aviation received the official yellow forms from
the INS
which said visas had been approved for the suicide hijackers. Atta, the
terrorist ringleader, flew American Airlines flight 11 into the north
tower and Al-Shehhi is believed to have piloted United Airlines flight
175 into the south tower 17 minutes later. ... While the documentation

During a speech at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco on Thursday, Attorney General
Michael Mukasey tacitly admitted that the U.S. government intercepted a call about 9/11 - before 9/11.
Before
the 2001 terrorist attacks, he said, "we knew that there had been a
call from someplace that was known to be a safe house in Afghanistan and we knew that it came to the United States. We didn't know precisely where it went," reports the San Francisco Chronicle.
Mukasey is then reported to have "grimaced, swallowed hard, and seemed to tear up as he reflected on the weaknesses in America's
anti-terrorism strategy prior to the 2001 attacks. "We got three
thousand. . . . We've got three thousand people who went to work that
day and didn't come home to show for that," he said, struggling to
maintain his composure."
Despite
Mukasey using the example to justify warrantless wiretapping of
Americans by claiming the government was unable to intercept the call,
the fact is that no law would have prevented the government from
listening in on the call. Existing FISA provisions would have covered
the interception of the call.
In
addition, it would be naive to consider that Echelon - the global spy
network run by the NSA - did not intercept and catalogue the call. In
1999, the Australian government admitted that they were part of an
NSA-led global intercept
and surveillance grid in alliance with the US and Britain that could listen to "every international telephone call, fax, e-mail, or radio transmission," on the planet.
Furthermore, two days after 9/11, Germany's
daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported that the Echelon spy
network had provided warnings of the terror attack 6 months in advance.
It is admitted that the CIA had tracked the alleged hijackers to an Al-Qaeda
meeting in Malaysia in January 2000 and then let them back into the US. The U.S. government was fully aware of their movements without the need for a phone tap and allowed them safe passage around the globe.
As Newsweek reported, five of the named hijackers "received training at secure U.S. military installations in the 1990s".
Under these circumstances, the contention that
the U.S.
government intercepted such a call but was unable or unwilling to
listen to it due to legal restrictions is completely inconceivable.
Mukasey's admission is therefore further evidence that the U.S.
government was responsible for - at the very bare minimum - "malfeasant
complicity in the 9/11 attacks," as Keith Olbermann stated on his MSNBC
show yesterday.
Olbermann
thinks it likely Mukasey is simply embellishing in order to
propagandize for warrantless wiretapping, but the fact that the
hijackers were carefully tracked every step of the way before 9/11 by
the U.S. government and indeed trained at their military installations,
in addition to Echelon having recorded phone conversations about 9/11
six months before the attack, strongly suggests that Mukasey
unintentionally told the truth - and unequivocally let slip U.S.
government foreknowledge of 9/11.

House officials pressured the agency to prematurely assure the public
that the air was safe to breathe a week after the World Trade Center collapse. The agency's initial statements in the days following the Sept. 11, 2001
attacks were not supported by proper air quality monitoring data and
analysis, EPA's inspector general, Nikki L. Tinsley, says in a 155-page

be cleared" first by the National Security Council, the report says.
Approval from the NSC,

official with the White House Council on Environmental Quality, the
report said. That council, which coordinates federal environmental
efforts, in turn "convinced EPA to add reassuring statements and delete

found, EPA was convinced to omit from its early public statements
guidance for cleaning indoor spaces and tips on potential health effects
from airborne dust containing asbestos, lead, glass fibers and

and worked in the Wall Street area were apprehensive about returning to
their offices or apartments without firm assurances that the air was
safe to breathe. Now it turns out that the federal agency most qualified
to make such assurances -- and did -- was not telling the whole truth.
In a report released late last week, Nikki L. Tinsley, inspector general
of the Environmental Protection Agency, disclosed that the White House
was pulling the EPA's strings during the critical hours and days after
Sept. 11. In the
name of national security, the White House persuaded the EPA "to add
reassuring statements and delete cautionary ones," the report said. As a
result, by Sept. 18, the EPA was declaring the air safe to breathe,
even though it lacked the evidence to make such an assertion, and had
not adequately monitored the atmosphere for soot, dioxin or PCBs. Worse,
the agency agreed to delete its tips on cleaning indoor spaces and its
assessment of the health effects of air containing asbestos dust, lead,
glass fibers and concrete.
“The
misinformation about safe air, and the omitted material, were approved
by the National Security Council, which in the days immediately
following the attacks was coordinating health information with the White
House Council on Environmental Quality. …people…had no sense of [the]
risks because the EPA had misled them. And many of them might
have forgone precautions, or medical treatment, based on the false
information. This is the second time this year that an internal watchdog
has faulted the administration's credibility. Some weeks ago, a report
by the inspector general of the Justice Department found that some of
the detainees rounded up in the aftermath of Sept. 11 were denied the
right to see family or counsel for unjustifiably long periods, and some
had been abused in custody. But rather than acknowledge that some
mistakes were made, Attorney General John Ashcroft has refused to make
any apologies for misconduct by his department …

Historical Precedent...
There
are many events which could be summoned that have high-probabilities of
being US-State-sponsored terror attacks. These events, plausibly, go
back as far as the 19th century! (I beg the reader's forgiveness, but I
am exhausted from compiling this email and cannot furnish resources for
all of the following examples. The reader
is invited to request resources and/or to conduct independent
research.) For, the sinking of the Battleship Maine - which event prompted US entry in the Spanish-American War - was initially reported as an attack upon the Maine
from Spanish forces. Recent excavations of the shipwreck, however, have
shown that the ship was sunk because of an explosion which originated
from inside the ship (explosive damage signatures allow analysts to
determine the blast direction).
Furthermore, there is evidence that FDR had prior knowledge of the Japanese attack upon Pearl Harbor, but that FDR
did not evacuate the naval base - but instead made it the case that
there was a full harbor - plausibly in order to get a pretext sufficient
to put the American people in the mindset to enter the war (the
Americans were very reticent to enter WWII).
'Terrorstorm', linked to below, explores the background for 9/11 with respect to the Gulf of Tonkin incident (facilitating US entry into Vietnam)
which, it has now been discovered, consisted of a fabricated report of
an attack
upon US naval vessels (when, in fact, no such attack had occurred EVEN
THOUGH US vessels had fired upon the Vietnamese...trying to provoke them
to attack).
'Terrorstorm' also covers several
more events which the reader can easily research herself and which
constitute precedent for 9/11 of almost unbelievable proportion. Let me
mention just one more: The CIA-led US overthrow of the duly-elected
Iranian leader in 1953. Dr. Mosaddeq (who was pro-US, generally, but was
not congenial to the oil-cartel) was the victim of a CIA-terrorbombing
campaign and psychological warfare campaign (Operation Ajax)
in which the US indiscriminately bombed and machine-gunned civilians,
distributed propaganda leaflets attributing the actions to Mosaddeq.
Mosaddeq was 'removed' from power by the CIA-backed Shah and his
cronies. Mosaddeq was put into prison in perpetuity (for CIA crimes) and
many of Mosaddeq's cabinet-members were beheaded.
This 'operation' gives you a picture of what the CIA is capable of...and, remember, George W. Bush's father was a former director of the CIA (as well as having been, according to J. Edgar Hoover)
a CIA operative in the 1960s and 1970s. And, it is hard to find a
better-connected and resource-full (i.e., money-wise) bunch than the
oil-cartel, of which both 'W' and his father are members (partnered
with, in part, the Saudi monarchy).
In addition to Operation Ajax, there is also...
Operation Northwoods
In
the early 1960s, America's top military leaders reportedly drafted
plans to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in U.S.
cities to create public support for a war against Cuba. Code named
Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the possible
assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the
high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and even
orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities. The plans were developed
as ways to trick the American public and the international community
into supporting a war
to oust Cuba's then new leader, communist Fidel Castro. America's top
military brass even contemplated causing U.S. military casualties,
writing: "We could blow up a U.S. ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame
Cuba," and, "casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful
wave of national indignation."

- According to a recent telephone survey, roughly 30 percent of
Americans can't remember what year the September 11th attacks happened.
95 percent of Americans questioned in the poll do remember the month and the day of the attacks, according to
Wednesday's edition of the Washington Post. But when asked about the year, 30 percent could not give a correct answer.
Of
that group, six percent gave an earlier year, eight percent gave a
later year, and 16 percent admitted they had no idea whatsoever.
This
memory black hole is essentially the problem of the older crowd: 48
percent of those who did not know were between the ages of 55 and 64,
and 47 percent were older than 65, according to the poll.
